Submarine Cable Station (CLS) - Operations Technician

Location: Tabwakea, Kiritimati (Southern Cross NEXT Cable Station)

Role: Operate and maintain the submarine cable transmission terminal and backhaul radio facilities.

Key duties

  • Daily operation & maintenance of the cable station.

  • Maintain international and national interconnect service-level targets.

  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly CLS routine maintenance and reports;

  • Daily upkeep of the station log and services monitor.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

  • Diploma in Telecommunications/electronics (or equivalent).

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in telecom/ICT (e.g., networking, computing, service provisioning, facility O&M).
